Individual employees at AeTec devote themselves time and again to problem solving and they love the challenge. Our PC Board Assembly operation benefits from the innovation of two such individuals.

One of our people, who is a guru of the pick and place machine took it upon himself to solve a problem we were having with our screen printing machine. The maximum board size was 16" x 18" due to the built-in interface between the machine's software and hardware. Even though the equipment manufacturer didn't think it was possible, He altered the programming to achieve a 24" x 18" board size. They couldn't believe it.

Another employee on the team takes real delight in his job running the wave solder machine. When a board comes across the wave just right, his eyes light up. You can imagine how he felt when some of the larger and heavier boards were sagging, leading to uneven solder application on the leads. He put his head together with others and designed a way to support those boards that's unique to our line. Now, every board is stable and the process is greatly improved.
